    M17x troubles

    Hi guys.
    had some issues with the machine not restarting properly after a system restore. did a factory restore using f10. also with the disk supplied.
    All ran well . un restarting however i got this error message
    Error: 0x200110020000100C

    Cant contact alienware support. warrenty out. anything else i can try ?

    Ran a full diagnostic and everything checks out using that tool Dell/alienware supplies.

    System specs.
    QX9300(2.53) processor. 4g dc1066 ram.2xsata HDD's raid 1.Windows 7 ultimate 64bit. 2x GTX 260M.

    as a note if the error doesnt come up it just keeps re-booting.
    possible to take out one of the hdd's and run on one with a disk install on second HDD ?

    Ok when i pressed f12 it came up "operating system not found" when booting from HDD.

    Go into bios at startup F2 check your settings i.e raid,sata

    check your HDD boot order in the bios as well. If you are not using Raid, make sure the OS HDD is first in the list of the Hard Drive boot list.

    ok so Downloaded an image of a restore disk. and it works. but now it does not detect battery, but power remains. oh well. guess one of the disks was faulty. prob solved .

    in regards to the battery not showing... you can try this
    take out the battery / disconnect the AC adapter... then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds... see what happens
