I am still waiting the release of the 680m to place my order but i was wondering about the 3 wireless options .
The intel one with bluetooth does that have the wifi direct function ? that turns the laptop into a wifi hub ?
I have killer wireless in my m11x , and tbh i dont see any difference with it .
Does the m17x r4 have a mobile broadband option , so i can insert a sim card into the laptop? thanks

The M17x R4 doesn't have a built in SIM port unlike the M11x's.

Yes, it's called Intel My WiFi. You will need to download the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for your wifi card from Intel Support.

As Katalin put it...NO! The m11x is the only Alienware system that supports SIM cards or WWAN for that matter.

You can just buy a mobile broadband usb for very cheap these days anyway.

I can see why Dell didn't include it in the bigger models as the m17 isn't exactly a laptop you take around with you every day... Or maybe some people do but I would say the majority use it as a desktop replacement with portability around the house.
