    M17x-R1 master/slave card?

    hello all.
    i was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between a master and slave GTX 260m, if there are any. maybe someone knows where to buy one?

    Hello there! There isn't any different between the master and slave card on the GTX260m. Your best bet would be to call Dell if you'd like to order one, as they'll be able to supply you with a heatsink/fan/SLI cable in addition to the card.

    Both can be used with the same vBIOS.
    They have different heatsinks and need a SLi cable for them to work in SLi.
    eBay is full of them.
    I will advice you if you'll buy one buy it WITH the right heatsink and the SLi cable as they(cable & heatsink) are VERY rare to impossible to be found alone.

    Don't forget to add that you need the secondary GTX 260m video card assembly(card+heatsink+SLi cable) just in case it happened before for them to mix up parts number and to ship something else ;)
