    Hello fellow alienware owners.
I've got a problem i hope one or some of you can help me with. Here goes a little story of the life of my alienware:

4 or 5 years years ago i got my m17x-r1 and it had been playing nicely for many years. About a year ago I got the opportunity to get an m17x-r2 for spareparts very cheap. I decided to switch the mobo and gfx card into the case of my old r1, as the r2 i bought had a broken screen and a banged up case.

Now i face the problem that my r1 with the r2 mobo and gfx card in it won't boot. As the fan only spinned 1/10 of a round i figured it was the mobo that was faulty. Therefore i switched my old mobo back in to my r1 case, so the configuration is as follows:

R1 case with R1 mobo but gfx card from the r2. This config has worked before..

Now my alienware turns on for about 3 seconds. Meaning the fans spin up, the light goes on, and then boom it turns off.

So i got a little bit further to turn my alienware back on but i need a little help to get it fully working.

Any sugestions as to what i can do wil be kindly appreciated!
