hello, As mentioned I have a R1 that's CF. I happened to notice that my secondary card is disabled in CCC and there is no option to re-enable it to re-enable cross fire..

I have been trying to get it to work, and looking for 3 days trying to find an answer.. i finally i broke down and decided to make a thread about.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks.

have you tried reinstalling the drivers+CCC or even reinstalling windows? New windows + drivers+CCC installation should automatically get you crossfire.

If not, there is probably something wrong with your card or the cable. This happened to me before and I had my motherboard and both cards replaced..

new windows, new drivers, current CCC.

    no warranty.

I don't understand why the card would still register in CCC if it was bad?

one thing that came to mind is that it worked before i flashed the A06 BIOS.

I wonder if that screwed it up somehow.

Also, Under display adapter's it mentions both 4870's So I would hope its not a bad card.

    1) this is why you shouldnt really flash bios if you are out of warranty. unless u have problems that the bios fixes.

    2) did u try swapping the two cards and see what happens? Try with just one card as well. This will be pain in the butt for you as you will have to repaste but its worth the try. This is how i found out that my slave card was bad.

I had to flash it to fix the latency issues.

Maybe Ill order some paste and swap the cards.

    thanks for the info.

    Thanks!

    I got it Resolved.

I flashed the A07 Bios and reinstalled windows. Also used the version of CCC that came on the resource disk and it's working now.

I'm kinda hesitant to update CCC.

Newest CCC 11.12 was nothing but BSOD for my R2. You may want to hold off on newest drivers (I'm on 9/2010 drivers right now for R2).

I did some trouble shooting to find the answer, Not sure if the Bios had anything to do with it. But if I didn't install the factory version of CCC and wen't straight to the latest version XF wouldn't work.

So installing the OEM Version then upgrading to the lastest worked (11.11)
