    I like the alienware one that came with the laptop but when I use windows reinstall due to the Raid 2 drive crashed I lost it all. I might use a life picture of a Tokay gecko haha.

    on a side note, are all 1200p screens RGB screens? cause i have a R1 with a 1200p screen.

    Yup, thats the dual CCFL screen. No R1's shipped with the RGB. If you saw the RGB, you'd be amazed how rich and vibrant the colors are. If you start getting issues with the R1, push for an R2 replacement, ensure RGB.

    eh, okay lol. i bought my R1 2 days before they released the R2. needless to say i was mad as hell, and i didn't know i could change my order at the time.

    my R1 has a ton of problems, i just can't afford to send it to dell because I'm a college student and NEED this laptop. good thing i have the 3 year warranty w00t.

    Nice! What I do when I look for new wallpaper I go to Google Images, type in some search like "Universe", then under size I select Exactly... and type 1920 x 1200.

    but, is there a "real" way (software) that can tell if the display is RGB LED ?

    I have resolution of my M17xR2 set to 1920x1200 but the Q: is, is it RGB LED ? (I cannot compare my display to others and say hey, it's led)

    You can use ASTRA32 or HWiNFO32 and click on the monitor or display options section for info. Then post up a pic here for us to see and we can determine whether it is the RGB LED or not chiefs.

    Also what are the rest of your system specs and where when did you buy the system?

    I can't even look at my desktop for more than a few seconds at full brightness, have it set to min almost all the time, only go up two notches during some games.

    I just looked through the thread "real quick", so sorry if I missed it somewhere.

    I'm trying to backup or to just find a OEM alienware theme that came with the system. Not just wallpapers but the login screen that is included in the theme. I'm asking is because I'm trying to do clean install on a new HD and I kinda want to "re-load" the OEM theme back into win 7 after the install. Anyone has any idea about this?
