    M17x-R2 Underscan with HDTV

    When i hook up my m17x via HDMI there is a huge black bar around all 4 sides probably 4 inches when i change the HZ to 64 from 60Hz the bar becomes alot smaller maybe 1 inch around all 4 sides. how do i get this to show up bar less I have tried on diff drivers, but it won't fix it

    Driver i am using now is 10.3
    HDTV is Sony Bravia 46' W5100 series

    any help would be appreciated I have searched google trying to find a solution haven't found anything

    It's a setting in the ATI drivers not sure where. It's a slider and it will fix it right up.

    I can't find what you are talking about? i have searched every tab in CCC can you be a bit more specific? and no one else has had the underscanning problem?

    I have the 52" KDL-52V4100. I imagine this has already been considered, but I'll mention it anyway... just in case.

    If you are not using a resolution & frequency that is compatible with the tv, it will default to a lower resolution & put those bars around the image. Here are the specs for your tv.

    CrysDark is correct - sorry that I am not on my home PC (ATI Gx), but there is a pretty buried setting that does let you directly scale (HDMI/DVI) to your Sony HDTV. I had to tweak that slightly with a Sony Bravia HDTV to get to my desired 1080p setting. You need to right click on the monitor, check for HDTV underscan settings... I will try to check tonight.
