Hi, I've been using my R2 for several years now (almost 4 iirc) and have been regularly cleaning it since then, but right after my last cleaning session 2 weeks ago I'm getting random beeping sounds (happened twice so far) when I try to shut it down. It also refuses to shut down (screen goes black, starts beeping) and I had to unplug the power supply along with the battery to force it to shut down.

Not only that, the keyboard has become occasionally unresponsive (it seems to happen randomly). One day it will work fine (like it is now), 5 minutes ago it only register inputs every 2 seconds or so making typing anything next to impossible unless I take 10 seconds for each word.

Not really sure what went wrong... so some help would be most appreciated!

Have you tried a power drain or clearing the CMOS?

There also might be some cables that might have become loose...
