    M17x-R2 motherboard fix

    How much do you guys think it would cost to get an M17x-R2 motherboard fixed and such including labor etc...

    I found one for sale and the guy says the motherboard is bad and it won't boot.

    Might either fix it to keep or resell

    he says that all the lights come on and the fans kick in but theres no bios or boot or anything on screen

    Just had to fix this exact problem on the same model laptop for a friend tonight. Had to pop the regular battery out, take off the back, unplug the bios battery, then hold the power button down for about 30 secs. Machine booted right up and my friend was stunned. Don't know if the fix is going to is going to last though.
