According to that review, the R3 is just as loud as previous M17X models. It says 48Db at full load, which is very/too loud in my opinion. In another review I read, it says like 38Db (which is very good) at full load. Wish I could hear the fans for myself without buying it :/

good so I've finally got a review of the FHD screen panel, and I now know that the g73's model is different and still better :x

Yet I still have not found any info about the 1600x900 screen hardware ID... nobody found any info about it?

Yeah, Notebookcheck said the R2 was 52Db. I don't know why they just don't do a repaste, everyone knows Dell screws up a lot when it comes to installing CPUs and GPUs, they even forget to take off the plastic.

Anyone notice they said the CPU goes up to 90 degrees but the sxreenshots only show mid 70s. Maybe it's different in German

Can't say I really agree with the final verdict, not sure how the author comes to the conclusion that a gtx 460 equipped r3 can only be out shined by 485 and 6970, I know a 5870 is faster than 460, as does the 470 and the 6870 as well.

"But the performance is without a doubt the apex of what's currently available in the notebook world." is most disagreeable I think that honor still goes to the x7200 with dual gtx 485 and 990 extreme processor. I think a statement saying its the best performance for the money you spend makes more sense.

Totally agree with you, where the R3 shines is in the fact that for this amount of money you will get the best deal on the market as far as gaming notebooks go (performance, display, sound, build quality and looks).
But saying that it's the apex is pushing it too far when we consider machines like the x7200 from clevo

the m17x r3 supports sli correct also would the r3 be adequate to sustain 2 485m's, can the internal power supply handle that? i'd be interested to buy an r3 then.

The M17x R3 does not support SLI. Only Clevo has a laptop right now with that gpu configuration (x7200).
