    M17x-R3 screen still off when lid is opened?

    Title explains it, I close the lid, then open it, and the screen dose not come on. did I miss something?

    Configuration in sig- I am using the Nvidia 267.76 drivers.

    Did you accidentally turn on "projector" mode in display settings? [sometimes it can also be triggered by "Fn" laptops keys].

    is sleep/hibernation enabled on your system? If so, that's what's causing the error. You need to mod the inf to include a line regarding sleep (compare dell's .inf with the one you're using - it's in the addreg section).

    thanxxx for the tips,

    looks like Alienware Command Center was conflicting with Windows Power Options, so I just set everything up in A-CC, and all was fine =^_^=

    Hi i need help i having this alienware m17x r3 for 3 months .. i'm pissed when i close the lid it when to slp that correct but when i open the lid it shows a blank screen.. i have to hard reset on the power button.Anyone
    can help me with this thanks.

    Install the video drivers from Alienware's site and see if anything changes.

    i did already install the latest driver . now the dell personal don't know what the problem ... they change motherboard and grapic card still the same open lid from sleep mode goes to blank screen. any setting or mod to prevent this ?

    Turn off sleep/hibernation. If that doesn't work not much else I am aware of that works. Mine is affected as well. I think it is some BIOS issue.

    turning off the sleep on lid close works fine. but when you set to sleep it sometimes show blank screen if u lucky it will let you go to the logon screen.
    if sleep funtion is not working they have to fix this problem.
