Hi friends, I just got an used i7-2670QM, 8GB, 750HD, nVidia, GTX 560m, it just arrived and it's on beautiful conditions. But I'm having problems with two drivers, Network controller & SM Bus Controller. I did a clean OS installation, and used almost all the network drivers available on dell support page, and still the issues. Any idea o suggestion?
As reference, the wi-fi is not working I am getting signal true a USB adapter
    Regards

SM Bus Controller should have been installed with the chipset drivers. You can try installing the Intel chipset drivers and see if that fixes that device conflict.

The WiFi card issue is a bit trickier. You need to know which WiFi card you have in your system so you can download the correct drivers for it. Also, have you installed the Ethernet adapter drivers?

I already install the all 3 chipset drives available on Dell support page for my specific computer, those base on the tag No.
For the WiFi issue, I know it will be difficult. I try to understood the specs for original configuration but it's hard. Don't say any model or anything that I can use for reference.
My warranty just expire a week, and they don't have any more support.

For the SM Bus driver, try this:

    1. Open up Device Manager
    2. Open up the SM Bus device window
    3. Click update driver from the driver tab
    4. Select "Browse My Computer for driver software"
    5. Hit the Browse button and navigate to "C:\dell\drivers\R289402\WIN7\" and hit next.
    6. See if the driver update find the correct inf file for your SM Bus.

The SM Bus controller driver should have installed with the Intel HM67 Cougar Point chipset package you downloaded from Dell (3rd on the list of chipset drivers for the R3) Driver Details | Dell US

As for the network controller, open the device window for it and go to the details tab. In the Property drop down list, select Hardware ID. Then copy the first line in the Value box and paste it in your reply here. It should look something like this: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&SUBSYS_11218086&REV_35

That will help us determine what wireless card you have installed.

De nada. Sometimes you have to lead the horse to water before it says, "Oh wait, I AM thirsty." :D

What about the network controller? Did you get the correct drivers installed for that as well?

Yes after I check Hardware ID, I copy and paste on google and I got a reference for Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000, but I have to install it manually. Same as the Bus controller.
