Hi there. I have did a lot of research, but I'm still very confused.

Here is my problem : I have, between the screen and the lcd, a bug that entered inside, and is now in the middle of the screen since 6 months. It's a real pain for my eyes. I would like to unmount it and wash my little alien eyes to be clearer, for him and me. It would be great for both of us.
But here is the problem, I heard that it wasn't possible to access to the front of the lcd witthout taking off the edge to edge glue or something like that that there's on the left and right.
Well, if you don't understand what I mean, that's because i'm lost myself.
I saw this thread : http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/414368-m17x-panel-dismanteling.html but I don't really see / understand how he did that

So, how could I do to be able to clean up my LCD ? You are my last hope..

    Regards

The screen itself is glued to the bezel, but it is also covered by magnesium ''thing'' that is permanently fixed to the whole assembly.

You have to brake it to take lcd off and get rid of dust - i know - SOUR !

You can ask dell for replacement, if you are within warranty, if not, dell quote will be 1149$ for new one.
