I've been searching around and I think I've found the cheapest RGB LED panel that will fit in my M17x. I believe the model # is K1NPF. So I searching that on eBay returns this:
Dell/Samsung 17" WUXGA LCD Screen LTN170CT08 K1NFP | eBay
Here's the thread that I got that model # from:

Can anyone verify that this is all I need to go from my 900p screen to the 1200p RGB LED screen?

I just pulled the trigger on the eBay link... I'd hate to see a deal like that go away and $100 is a small investment if it works. It also has a 30 day return policy.

The listing is over but that should be it.
Keep in mind that replacing only the LCD implies the removal of the edge to edge plexi which is glued directly to the LCD (i think with some 3M crap) and it's not a easy task.
Good luck. -
... Is there a link to some tutorial? I heard the back panel just lifts up and I just assumed this revealed the panel. Guess this is more work... And I will have to put the 900p screen back if I have dell work on it... Can I buy extra Edge 2 Edge glass?
EDIT: NVM, this thread says you can cut these 2 metal bars and lift the lcd away.
