I am a new owner of the M17x-r4 since last Friday, I have been monitoring CPU temp while playing and idle and it is at 50 idle, 75 playing.

When I do a stress test like prime95 it goes up to 92 degrees. Should I ask for a repaste or these temperatures are normal on ivy bridge? I have the 3820qm.

I have also had problems while playing Diablo 3 with the ati 7970m, the computer just freezes and I have to reboot the PC, the temp of the GPU is not high is about 75ยบ and it doesn't happen with fumark, unigine heaven, or by playing other games like Crysis 2 or BF3.

Those temps seem resonable. My R3 with the 2860QM idles around 47-50. 3 hrs of WOW on raid nights it usually does not exceede 70-72 and GPU rarley exceeds 68-72.

Repase of both CPU and GPu will only help. I used Prolimatech PRO-PK1 with excellent results.

As for the Diablo gremlins I suspect (immature) driver issues that will improve as new drivers are available for the 7970
