Hey guys I've got this problem my m17xr2 is still on A02 so the screen blacks out and flickers in games, So I did some searching and found out its just a problem with the AO2 bios so I went on Dell and downloaded the A10 bios and tried to update. Sadly right when it started to update my laptop will blue screen! The picture below is the BOSD message. I also downloaded the A09 bios and the same thing happened. I made sure I was running it as admin and everything.

Well if any of you guys had this problem, or know how to fix it I would love to hear it =P Cause this A02 bios isn't cutting it

Maybe your trying to jump too many bios versions. Can you find a lower number like A03 or A04 etc... Its probably some setting its trying to change that conflicts with the current configuration? Maybe?

Try to flash in DOS using a bootable USB key.
Do you happen to have the ATi 5870 cards?
