    Heya guys,

    Problem:
I turn on the laptop and the Bios screen loads (looks kinda yellow though) then goes black the sounds loads into Windows 7. Connecting a External monitor and the image is there, Both Video cards working perfectly, its either the LCD or the Inverter from what I can tell, I lean towards the Inverter because sometimes I can see a faint image on the LCD, only problem is I have no idea how to get to it, anyone help me out, I want to try and clean the Inverter and hope to save a fortune as my warranty just ended (go figure huh), I heard LCD in a laptop replacement can get very expensive.

I have no idea what or where in the LCD the Inverter is and how to clean it. I called Alienware and a replacement LCD will cost 1,500 Canadian, 1000 with a discount which is crazy imo they won't fix it only replace it due to the expiry running out a few weeks ago boo.

Does anyone have step by step with pictures or drawing on how I could clean the Inverter? I am able to open the computer and LCD up with no problems.
