I re thermal pasted my GPU and CPU. First time doing the CPU on this machine. Immediately after i booted it up after that i started having these issues:

    1. Power button not working at all at times, only seems to boot up when i unplug and only use battery
    2. No light on power button, except bios flash situations( read more below)
    3. the power strip media bar is not lit up, however the some of the buttons work, but its hard because i cant see what button im pressing. HOWEVER it as if one of the buttons is constantly being pushed when the computer is running even if I am not touching the machine. Most of the time it as if the volume button/buttons r constantly being pushed, as i it is displayed on the screen via OCD. I can literally just watch it jump up and down a tiny bit if i click the speaker in the bottom right for my sound. Therefore i have to kill OSD process in process explorer or else i have the volume OCD display in the middle of my screen all day....
    4. I can tell which button will usually be having issues by the way the keyboard lights up when i turn the machine on
If it's all blue and the alienfx works as its supposed 2 via the ALIENWARE on the LCD display, the keyboard and the lights on the front of the laptop,(No power button or media bar lights as stated above) the button that will always be going off will be the volume ones.
If the ALIENWARE letters on the LCD display are blue along with the lights on the front, but the keyboard lights are all white( and keyboard wont respond to alienfx settings change like this), then the button that will always be pushed will be the alien command center button. It is very annoying as it pops up every minute or so, even if i leave it on and dont close it, it will window to it....
I have also had the stealth mode button warning be constantly issued to me as if it was being tapped over and over.
    5. Also whenever i install a driver or something and the machine needs to restart, like a windows update etc etc. The machine will never restart on its own, it will only shut down then i have to restart it manually.

WHAT I HAVE DONE TO TRY AND FIX IT:
CLeaned machine, went in checked connections checked cables all ok it seems. I don't think that is it because why would the power button and the buttons respond sometimes and sometimes not if its a cable.
Power cycled it many times even unplugging the bios battery. Usually if i unplug the bios battery when i start it up i will get a very wierd color configuration for alien fx, such as 2 different colors in the keybaord and also 2 different colors in the front lights. ALSO the power button will light UP RED HERE!!!! but once i plug in the Power cord it will go out.
Reformatted, installed fresh drivers, and reflashed bios. I have tried the a09 bios, a10 bios, and the a10 modded bios where u can change CPU and GPU settings.
Here is where it gets interesting, whenever i reflash the bios and it says it needs to restart it will shut down, not restart sadly, BUT the power button will light up blue like it is charging but not running. JUST how it is supposed to light up. SO itll just sit there until i do one of the two things. Remove the power cord and hit the power button to restart, in which somecases the power button will go red other times nothing at all. IF it is red it will stay that way until i plug in the power cord as stated before.
OR I even tried hitting the power button underneath the actual media bar, the one inside the computer on the motherboard there. I was thinking maybe it was losing its save state when i removed the power cord to turn it back on and was hoping i could leave the power cord plugged in and start it this way and it would work. Well it booted up but the power light immediately went off...
Also on start up in windows i sometimes get an error about my AC adaptor not being recognized, but when i click on the battery it shows as plugged in and charging.

I also get this error "Can't get KBC response for read power source Debug_data=0" or something along those lines i forget the last part...this pops up in the lower right in windows on startup

SO this is where I am at. I feel its something to do with the power maybe, like something got messed up when i took off the cpu heatsink and repasted it, but that doesnt make alot of sense. IT could also be the motherboard going wacko.... but its wierd that the bios flash seems to fix it before it turns on. That could be wishful thinking thought as all i can see when i flash it is the power button glowing blue and blinking like it is supposed 2.
Needless to say i am driving myself crazy trying to fix this. I would hate to buy a new MOBO and not have it work. The computer is functional, however with the volume button and command center button issues it is very very annoying to deal with.

IF anyone has any ideas or tips or suggestions or ANYTHING let me know.... I've been trying to fix this for weeks.....

OH i totally forgot about the keyboard issues. It seems as if in certain progams one of my keyboard buttons is constantly being pushed. Usually A or B it seems. Like if i am playing dota 2 or something my skills will randomly go off. It will not do it when i am typing something though only in certain programs. Like in a game if i go to controls and try to change the button configs, at this very moment it just spams B into every key.... so i cant change any controls.... this may be a motherboard issue after all...

Even if you cant help me with a hardware issue if u know of the process running that is causing the power strip buttons to go off nonstop that would be great. I could just eliminate that process via process explorer and hopefully the worst of my issues would be taken care of.

Before going on software and things that worked before you open it up , why don't you un screw the thing and re-plug all the ribon , i had some issue with those some time ago , it need a very precise position to work , if the ribbon is not straight in place, that can cause some problem like yours.
