I tried to search but did not find anything about this.
About 50% of the time when I turn on my computer I get the following.
I hit the power button and first thing thaty happens is the fan kicks on then the button light and keyboard lights. The the fan stops and nothing more happens. Wait a minute then press the button again and nothing. So I hold the button and the lights go out but the fan comes back on and stays on.
Then if I press the power button again the whole cycle starts over. The only way out is to pull the power and battery and start over.

When it works I normally press the button and everything lights up the fan goes and I hear the heads in the opitcal drive move, then the fan slows down and it boots fine.

I always do a full shutdown and do not use sleep mode.

Any ideas what could be going on?

are you using the latest bios A10? it fixes power brick issues, also listing your system specs might help give more insight of the issue, all so do a power drain might fix that issue.
