    Hey Everyone,

I've been having a problem with lag in games on my M17xR2. It is not consistent fps lag but rather seems to be short, frequent freezes that lock the computer up for a couple seconds at a time. The big ones occur mostly when I click on something in-game (more specifically when i click on a unit during a battle in shogun 2) but smaller ones happen randomly throughout the game. I called alienware and we ran a bunch of diagnostic tests on the hardware (GPU-Z, CPUID, HDTune, etc.) but the problem does not show up on any of them. I'm not a huge computer guy so please excuse my rather basic knowledge; I just thought maybe someone could help me more accurately describe my problem to tech support so I could get it resolved. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What are your temps like? Dust in the video card fans? I was amazed when I took one Alienware apart and saw dryer lint like dust clogging both video card fans and the processor fan as well

That's what i was thinking originally because my room at school was quite dusty. However, when I ran GPU-Z my temps werent too hot. I think i'm going to open it up and give it a look anyway because im not sure what else it could be
