What are my upgrade options? Would it be possible to get a 7970m in here? I currently have a 4870 in a M17xR2. Is there a way to use the latest catalyst drivers with my board? The ones on dells site are old.

    Thanks for the help! :)

7970M in the R2 is still untested, but there is speculation on it working.

the 7970MCF , less or more power costume than 6990M in CF ?

performs 85% 7970MCF power in R2 is satisfied

have you replace the 240W adaptor to 330W when you upgrade to 6990MCF ?

From what I've seen the 7970M will consume 10w-15w less per card then 6990M. I still use a 240W PSU. Just undervolted the 6990Ms

If I want to keep my 4870 but use the latest Ati Catalyst drivers, what do I need to do to get them working on my laptop?

    Well... I've got a 6970M here that's brand freaking new... as in... <6-months old. :) That's easily 3x as powerful without a problem. If you're interested. :p

How much do you want for it? Do I need a special bios other than the A10 bios on here now to use that card? Also do I need an upgraded power supply?

    Let me know.
