I bought them elsewhere and paid $98 Canadian plus shipping ($9) plus tax.
First order got messed up, so when I went back with them to order a second set they offered me a nice discount for using them again (without me even asking, they called after seeing my account info again - it was nice).

So the 4 - 4GB DIMMs cost me less than $200 canadian including shipping and tax (13%).

Never heard of that brand before but there is no reason why it should not work with the M17xR3. Move the memory that comes withe the system under the keyboard that way the memory you are adding is easier to replace.....just in case.

Sound great, thanks. Yeah i never heard of them before either, It just came with my W860CU when i ordered it from RJTech. I want to test it out and see if i really need 8GB before I go out and buy the HyperX ram.

    Thanks again.

There is so much information in here that I felt it worth while to bring this thread to the forfront for a little while.

I am still wondering who won the basketball game in those pics?

Actually niece. I don't think her team won a game all year.

No. Going for a Precision more than likely. I do have an Ipad 2 coming in if that counts.

    Waiting on the 6600?

The new Quadro's look fantastic! If I had deeper pockets (or no wife), I would be on the 6600 train without question.
Facetime @ipad2 sold me. Got one for wife and mother-in-law with part of tax return! nice purchase!

didn't I read somewhere on this forum for people to check that the "metal plate" was installed over the Memory modules on the R3 otherwise there would be keyboard flex in that area, it was sort of saying that is some cases the factory where forgetting to fit.

Yes, it was in Mandrake's old R3. SUPER MAD kb flex. Mine doesnt have much flex. When received a few days ago, I "mashed" around the kb, and hardly any flex anywhere.. I'm very impressed.
