I have a M17xR3, which i just got recently, and it seems like my 6970m isnt working. So i checked my device manager and it isnt listed under the display drivers. All i see is the Intel 3000 HD driver but no 6970. Please help me get it back or get it working again. Thank you :D

I installed the Intel HD 3000 driver and tried the AMD driver but still nothing. Is there a certain way to do it?

Did you try the version off the Dell website that's for your M17xR3?

what you need to do is download the amd driver from dell. Then go to device manager and unistall the driver from intel. Restart then install the driver you downloaded.

try resetting your bios, take out the coin battery and do a power drain. member to set date and time and hdd setting afterwards. then check to see if the other display adapter shows up.

If you restore using the respawn disks you created you will not need to install any drivers (assuming you're system came with all the drivers installed ofcourse).

However, if you want to do a clean install its a very simple process:

    1) Backup everything.
    2) Insert Windows CD which came with your machine and boot from it.
    3) Then just follow the process and I prefer to format the hard disks usually.
    4) Once you managed to login to your freshly installed windows take a look here. Read this before you start installing windows. Download all the drivers before fresh install.
    5) After installing the drivers take a look here

    You're done!

Whenever I install the amd driver it finishes with the ati catalyst saying " installation complete (warnings occurrd during installation). View log" and there is a yellow "?" to the left of it. It seems like it changed nothing

I uninstalled intel then restarted, then installed amd then restarted. It worked then my computer when to sleep and wouldn't wake up, so I did a hard reset. Then when it booted it went back to standard VGA, so I installed the amd and restarted and nothing :( what do I do?
