I have never seen anything like this before and people from Alienware tech support have never seen it before.

My mouse was working fine for almost month of having this m17xR3 (upgraded from R1) and then all of a sudden the mouse started to go REALLY slow in the top right corner of the screen, right after I get some wireless problems fixed, and I called Alienware tech support about it for a few days, and one thought it was a virus doing it and offered for me to pay $129 for a virus removal from Dell, another thought it was the mouse drivers and installed them, and another thought some program was doing it, and one even had me reinstall windows. And after I had finished getting windows installed, I tried doing something that none of them asked me to try, so I switched from the 6970m to the integrated graphics card, and then the mouse started to work perfectly in that corner! So the next day I call them and tell them and tell them this, they said that it could be the GPU going out or its slot in the motherboard is going out. So now I am getting a replacement GPU and motherboard and hopefully this will be fixed! :D

Can anyone else with the m17xR3 see if they have this? Or is it just mine doing this?

My mouse does this sometimes when I am benchmarking and pushing my gpu clocks too hard. So yeah, maybe your card is faulty or has something to do with the mobo. As soon as my bench is over or the GPU load is lightened the mouse behaves normal again. While using 6970m.

This has actually happened to me, but on an R2. The R2 broke.

Today I just got it all replaced, and the repair tech came with even more stuff than I thought! New GPU and motherboard, new GPU and CPU fans, new CPU heatsink, new thermal paste, and a new mousepad!

As of right now, all is working well and I hope that I won't get this problem again :D
