    Hi

I have a M17X R3 and I want to upgrade to be able to run games a lot better.

    My specs:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz 2.0GHz
    4 GB RAM Hard Drive
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

I saw that the minimum I should get is the GTX 560 and a 8 GB RAM Hard Drive
Is that enough or should I get something better?

I need all the advices I can get :)

    You want to get

    1. Intel core i7-2920XM/2960XM
    2. Get an extra 8GB RAM
    3. For GPU, get the GTX680M or if you can find a GTX780M for less, get that...

I would recommend going with the GTX 780M for the GPU and the i7 2960 for the CPU.
    More RAM wouldn't hurt either.
Also get an SSD hdd - you will never go back if you do so! :p

    Cheers.

The 560M is the same chip so that would be a waste of money, as above the 780M would be a MASSIVE increase in performance (4-5x)

Even a 128gb as a boot drive with one or two most used apps would help a lot too I agree.
