    Hi all,

so Windows attempts to boot, but ultimately just comes to a black screen with a mouse cursor...

I know a re-install would work, but im trying to avoid that as ive lost my discs, i do have another operational pc if that helps.

    thanks in advance

Hmm. This could be a number of things from driver issues to a hard drive bad sector problem.

Does it boot in safe mode?

Sadly not no... I booted into windows again via the original HDD supplied with the R3. I can now boot into windows and access the SSD via the eSATA port I've done a file check all seems well, do you have any suggestions from this state to get it bootable again?

    Thanks again

I'm glad it's working fine after that.
