    M17xr2 Vbios Ati 4870 Master And Slave Needed!!!

    M17XR2 VBIOS ATI 4870 MASTER AND SLAVE NEEDED!!!

    Please could someone do a VBIOS Backup from original ATI 4870m 1gb each one Master and Slave card?

    Creating an usb boot stick:

    atiflash -s 0 bios0.rom (Master)
    atiflash -s 1 bios1.rom (Slave)

    This is atiflash.exe taken from 6970m.zip package.

    I need it to verify with mine I think my second card slave one has got corrupted bios without doing anykind of writing.

    Also a question with original backup can I do a Master bios writing on second one (The slave) to verify it alone in my system?

    Please help me!
    It cannot hurt you and so you can also have a backup of your original video card bioses.

    You should be able to flash the vBIOS from the primary card on to the secondary.

    I don't think there's such thing as slave vBIOS for these systems, I don't know about the 4870 but the rest (5870 etc..) can both run with the same vBIOS.

    Hi! You are right! Also in my system with two ati 4870m 1gb each one, they have same vbios, I've solved issue it was my CF bridge cable. I've cleaned it some crc and reconnected. Everything is working again. I've done the vbios backup from adapter 0 and adapter 1 and they are the same.

    Ah, yes the CF can be a pain sometimes, if only it was anything like the SLi cable.
