    M17xr3 and m17xr4 heat sink

    Hi all was just after a quick bit of advice, are the m17xr3 (gtx580m) and the m17xr4 (gtx680m) heatsinks the same? I've tried googing it and to be honest the results are a mess

    There are minor differences but not huge. You could get away with swapping them around.

    Thanks widezu, I'm looking at getting " TDMDJ" to replace the 580m heatsink i have fitted to my 680m at the moment.

    Actually, that one isn't right. The one you want is either 9CNMG or MT1DN.

    Thanks for the help, After looking at pictures of both your rigth the differences are very small, the 680m heat sink has a extra lip along one edge nothing to lose sleep over I know where it will apply pressure and would be a very quick mod i could do my self .
