    Does anyone know if the MSI GTX970m would work in the M17R1 120HZ machine, and if so is there any certain vBios I should make sure that the card has before installing it in the machine ?

    MSI cards have a long history of not playing nice in Alienwares. I wouldn't risk it.

    I believe so. Somebody I think on here bought a MSI GTX 780M and it just refused to POST in his Alienware (I think either a M17x R3 or M17x R4)?
