    First off,

I want to thank everyone on here who has posted about their success with removing the oem thermal paste and applying a better after market paste. This inspired me to actually do something about my bad gpu temps.

    Before Temps:

    GPU Idle: 49c
    GPU Load: 106c

    After Temps:

    GPU Idle: 38c
    GPU Load: 81c
    Max fan speed 30%

That's a savings of 25c under load, WOW!

I applied MX-3 thermal paste and did the retainer clip mod to the GPUs. I also hit the cpu with some MX-3 while I was in there. I saw a 10c drop in cpu temps under load. I didn't touch the OEM thermal pads, maybe i'll look into that in the future.

    And, because everyone loves pics.
