    MX17x R3 6800M Major slowdown overheating?

    Just today when watching videos, playing games I have been dealing some major slowdowns. The audio becomes echo'd (best way to explain it) and the video or game slows down big time. Fans seem to be working, but the card feels hotter than normal. Latest drivers installed (official ones). I normally use a cooling pad, but left it at work.

    Earlier today I got BSOD:

    do you mean the sound stutters? are you using wifi by any chance?

    Yes I'm using wifi. The video stutters badly and becomes prolonged like it's playing slowly. This happens in games too, local and wifi. There is another BSOD dump from the 22nd that has to do with my card drivers:

    Also whenever I try to install the INTEL HD drivers I get a white screen and have to use a restore point. May just have to send it in, but trying to avoid that as I use this laptop for work also.

    Remove both the drivers (nvidia and intel). Disable the wifi and restart. Do a driver cleaner (driver sweeper) cclean, instal FIRST the intel GPU, restart; then install the Nvidia GPU / restart. See if that helps. Try to install the last beta driver from NVIDIA. 301.64 or something similar. Good luck!

    Please note: Have the wifi all the time disabled until all drivers are installed otherwise microsoft with atempt to install the drivers himself and that could be a cause created...
