    Hello folks,

    I am having this irritating problem which is the GPU are "unusable". This problem rises after my clean formatting and I straight to update the driver to Nvidia 301.42.

    I know its hardly related, but the reason why I reformatting my system is due to I did performed defrag to my HDD and everything went haywire after that. So since I am too packed with exam, I just decided to reformat the whole system.

    Now I kinda lost my mojo in this as last time I able to recall, my last format is like 2 years ago and I am not sure if my current problem is caused by something that I forgot to install, maybe driver or some kind.

    Below are my list of installed programme, extracted from Ccleaner;

    I also check using Stealth Toggle if I am in Stealth Mode, but no.

    GPU-Z shown I am having GTX 280M, GTX 280M and 9400M; exactly like before the format.

    I don't face any problem during Nvidia driver installation at all.

    Please help me :(

    After trying around with FurMark, I found out that both my GTX280M didn't even process anything.

    What the hell.

    Help me please...

    Switch from intergrated to discrete graphics (Fn+F7).

    Holy crap, it was due to 301.42 driver.

    I'd reverted back to 295.73 and everything back to normal.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Its due to any drivers above the 290 series do not support the r1 hybrid graphics at all. So to run them you have to disable the integrated graphics and hybrid graphics in bios. If you dont the drivers will always try to use the 9400 and not your 280's.
