Hi guys, I am wondering if the behavior of the multimedia controls on the M17X R4 can be altered. Specifically, if the rate of volume change can be slowed down. When I am using the computer in a quiet setting with headphones on, the jump to 10% volume from 0% is a bit too much and results in the sound being too loud. I am wondering if it can be changed so that the volume goes up and down in smaller increments.

The easiest route you have is to put in an inline volume control on the headphones but if anyone has any suggestions for NA1NSXR I'd like to hear them as well. Still waiting on my laptop so I can't provide any myself.

EDIT: Something like this should work.

Well I can adjust the volume to my liking any number of ways already including windows itself or the program Im using. I'm just wondering because since the buttons are there for convenience, why not have them work the way i want. I looked in the Alienware OSD folder to see if there were any files I could alter but I didn't see any. It would be cool if the Alienware Command Center button could be reconfigured to launch any program you want or something like that....I might have it open up my hardware monitoring / OC programs or something like that instead.

That's how I do it. I just leave the volume level in windows cranked up to 100% and adjust the volume using the inline knob on my Alienware Tactx headset. I find it a lot easier to adjust that knob than to have to reach over and hold down the volume up or down button. But that's just me...
