    Maybe a stupid question, but about the M17x colors...

    Lurker, first time poster here.

    I've been watching laptops for about a month or two as I plan on buying a high-powered computer for college before the end of August. The computer that stood out to me the most was the Alienware M17x, and I plan on getting it with the 720QM CPU, Crossfire HD5870's, and the RGB LED screen.

    I'm looking at ~$2400 through the Dell EPP program (any tips on getting the price down further are greatly appreciated!).

    But what about the colors (black, grey, red)? What are people's thoughts on what they picked? I'm leaning towards black at this point, simply because the rest of the computer (keyboard, etc.) is black and I'd prefer to keep it all one color.

    The all one color scheme was my thinking as well. If you like contrast either the red or silver look alright too. I like the black as you can put any of the AlienFX colors with it and have it look awesome. It also gives it more of a sleek stealth look.

    Honestly...

    Red = Hawt
    Silver = Very nice
    Black = Professional

    Blue = A man can dream of it
