My system came with Samsung 1333 8Gb memory. I installed Kingston HyperX 2x2gb Memory and it doesn't work. I'm using bios A05. Bios detects it but when I run Diagnostics and Memory test error. Windows don't boot up either. I installed HyperX on my M11x and it works fine. So anyone know why Kingston HyperX memory doesn't work with M17x-R2?

Is the Kingston on thier QVL?

Have you tried one stick at a time and sees if it works?

run memtest86 from a usb boot drive and see if it reports back any errors.

I have the same problem. I increased the voltage in bios which helped but still have random BSODs and lockups.

I tried 1 stick at a time but no good. windows still don't boot up. Is the HyperX going to perform better than my Samsung? I wanted to install it and run some benches. I'll try memtest86 later. @Mikoyan_UK, not sure what you mean by QVL. I am a complete noob when It comes to memory.

sorry Quality Vendor List, as in does Dell say they officially support the memory?

The memtest would be best bet like Mandrake said and then perhaps what Gadgetboi said.
