    Hi All,

I've started using my laptop a lot for work recently which involves a lot of excel. One thing I use frequently is the 'menu' key (between Alt and Crlt on the right on most keyboards). Does anybody know if/where this key is located on the M17x R1 keyboard...or a nice alternative?

    Thanks

    Ibz

If memory serves it's just a keyboard alternative for the right mouse button?

    Hi Indigo,

That's correct, but as I do a lot of typing I tend to stay at the keyboard for 99% of my work (alt+tab instead of clicking another window etc).

It should be possible to rebind your keyboard so you can "lose" the right hand ctrl key and switch it for the menu key if need be? I think that's a standard windows option, if not I'm sure I've seen freeware utilities that let you do it.

I have tried 2 pieces of software to do this: KeyMapper and Sharpkeys, both of which have failed to successfully remap my Ctrl to Context Menu.

    Any more ideas? :)

    Thanks

you might be able to configure the mouse with an advanced 3 touch config to achieve this...

Thing is though I think he wants to avoid using the mouse.

That, and the menu button = right mouse button anyway. :)
