    Hello i have an alienware m17x r3 and i was curious if there was a way to open it
    by going through the keyboard? i tried opening it at the bottom but to get to the audio port i would have to take out the motherboard and everything on it....

    To pull out the mobo, you are going to have to disassemble it. It might be better to get an external audio solution or a USB headset as all USB headsets come with built in soundcards...or get dell to come fix it

    Did you try reinstalling the drivers if it is not physical damage?

    I have seen old and new computers that "unloaded" audio drivers after bunch of windows update and other drivers. Try that if you are having audio issues.
