    AAFES.com

I don't know what the current discount is there. It was 22% with no tax. Last I checked it was down to 10%, which isn't too good, but isn't bad either.

US Military? Best way is to go through the AAFES website. However, be aware that you don't have all the system configuration options available for the M17x on the AAFES site as you do on the AW site.

For instance, you're limited to only the i7 2630QM 2.0GHz CPU on the M17x R3. Also, the current EPP discount through AAFES is $70, whereas if you buy direct from AW, they're running a bit better discounts.

I'd recommend going through the AAFES site and configuring what you want, and comparing it to a build on the AW site in another browser window, see what gives you the better price. While the no taxes is nice through AAFES, sometimes that doesn't offset either the discounts AW is running and/or (in my case) the options available.. Kind of a disappointment as I got my M11x R2 through AAFES last year and it was a cheap/smooth experience.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

Call in to the employee purchase program. They give 10% for military.

Check the link in my Sig. Particularly the last few pages of the thread.

Aafes discounts are pretty weak nowadays. Last I checked, it was 11%. Still gotta appreciate that freeshipping and no tax though :) And don't forget to call in when it's "In Production," and ask for NBD (they'll upgrade you for free, if you say something like "I need it for school/work/a trip.")

GL mang, and be safe out there!
