I purchased the Apple Dual Link adapter at Fry's $99, works great!

IRONICALLY, according to NVIDIA this should not work and I guess is "unsupported" but it DOES in fact work, at least on my M17x R3.

I know there were a few other threads on it. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

460M and 485M, on external monitor obviously. People had the question to verify if they could actually use an external 3D monitor if they ordered the non-3D 460M. :)

Would you mind posting a link to the adapter from frys.com?

Can this adapter be used to drive multiple DVI monitors? I am not concerned with the 3D capability, but rather to run dual-head using the DP connection only.

@Azu doubtful without chaining, even then though, I think a laptop is capable of outputting 3 screens (including laptop), HDMI Out and one DVI/VGA

    Bump - for info :)

Also, according to NVIDIA this setup shouldn't work at all, chances are we will be seeing them disable 3D over Dual-Link DVI on the Mini-Display Port now, same thing they did with the S3D on older drivers.

I currently use 3 of these adapters for my Eyefinity setup on my Crossfire 5970's. You can actually get the adapter cheaper at monoprice.com and it works just as well.

I use the 120Hz strictly for the refresh rate. Figured I would answer the "Why do you use Eyefinity on 120Hz with no 3D" question before it was tossed out. Gaming on 120Hz with 120FPS refresh rate is absolutely game changing.

For only $61.18 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Mini DisplayPort + USB to Dual-Link DVI Adapter | Mini DisplayPort to HDMI / DVI / VGA Adapters

Mini display port to display port is pointless :)
