I have an alienware 17 R4 with a GTX 1070 card in it.

I also have the graphics amp with the gtx 1080.

The system actually boots up BOTH cards at once if I put the computer in performance only graphics mode before rebooting with the graphics amp.

Currently im getting 48 MH/s mining Ethereum and very close to ~1000 Sol/s mining ZCash

The Graphics amp lid is left ope, It's been running for 72 hours now and is 55C in the arizona heat.

The Alienware 17 R4 GTX 1070 chip is currently running at 59C

I also have the CPU undervolted and the laptop elevated to allow more airflow from the bottom. No aditional fans.

This is my WORK computer so I'm still doing work on it while it's mining.

I'm amazed by the results but because i also repasted im really not surprised at all!

I have a similar setup with GTX 1060 R15 alienware notepad connected to the graphics amplifier running a GTX 1070 FE card. I tried to put the computer in graphics only mode but doesn't let me boot 2 cards. Any ideas how I can resolve it?

Congrats on your setup - I have the same 17 R4 computer (really like it) and just got the Alienware graphics amp with a 1080 card in it. You said you mine with both internal gtx and your amp box by putting the computer in performance only graphics mode before rebooting with the graphics amp.

Is that correct, and how did you get to that setting. I tried googling it with no luck. Thx in advance, ~R
