I followed Batboy's guide for clean install and installion of drivers. Really awesome guide! +1!

However, I noticed in Device Manager there is one unknown device. The only information it gives is hardware ID (see picture below).

After doing some google search with the hardware ID I found out that it might be because I did not install Free fall sensor drivers from dell. So I went ahead downloaded n installed them but still its the same in Device manager.

Its just annoying to see "Unknown device"! Everything seems to be working great though and my system boot time has drastically improved from 25 sec to 17-18 sec! :D

Anyone can help on this issue? Thanks in advance :)

Did you reboot your system after installing the free fall sensor driver?
Yes, that Hw ID is for the free fall sensor.

yes I restarted my system earlier. I uninstalled it just now and installed again and restarted. Still the same.

EDIT: I just discovered this, when I click on "Free fall data protection" in control panel it gives error message: "Error Handle".

That is odd. Try installing from the device manager just point it to the extracted folder for the driver. Should be C:\Dell\RXXXXX
