Here guys with clevo 6990's https://rapidshare.com/files/2661211032/111012a-128052C-Dell.rar. this driver will install now flawlessly. I suggest doing a driver sweep before installing.

Stealth55 took the time and went to the effort of modding this driver to make it install properly on the systems with Clevo cards. It was off topic as a post in the http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...ver-p06-8-902-released-dell-discuss-here.html thread, but I know many of you would love the opportunity to try it out.
If it works well for you, be sure to let Stealth55 know you how much you appreciate his efforts. No guarantees on suitability. YMMV. -
ok, let me see if i get this correct, if i got an m17xr2 with dual 6990s (bought from eurocom), are these the drivers i need to use?
-
Has anyone tried these with skyrim and 11.11 CAP 3?
EDIT: Since I'm using a 64 bit OS should I use the Setup from the Bin64 folder? -
Best way to find out is to try it and see. Stealth55 just this evening finished the mod, so I'm sure your help in seeing how it works on your system and your posts sharing the results would be a good way to show appreciation for his efforts.
If it works like an normal Catalyst package, simply run setup. It will install the right drivers for you. Be sure to do a clean installation to avoid typical AMD problems. -
DO NOT INSTALL THIS. I had to do a system restore to an earlier point it was so bad. My entire screen was like a neon blur of pixels. Nothing was legible. The only thing I could do was boot into safe mode and do a system restore. I couldn't navigate around well enough to uninstall the drivers. Something is very wrong here.
Also, I did a FULL uninstall before installing. CCleaner included.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean to scare anyone. I think I made the mistake of installing the driver without it being setup for my Eurocom cards. Hopefully it'll work with the Clevo ones. -
Do you have Clevo or Eurocom cards?

Thank you Stealth, i'll give this a try this evening when i'll be back from work
-
I don't see the point in this when AMD drivers work just fine... I may get a BSOD once in a while when express installing new/beta drivers but repeating the install fixes it.
(My M17x recognises the 6990M as a Dell card) -
-
IntenseIGFX - I think there may be a difference between the two... not sure.
GeoCake - I think the driver issues are more for the M17xR2 owners that have upgraded to 6970/6990 CrossFire with cards from other vendors that technically are not supported. Sometimes the drivers refuse to install. Stealth55 modded the hardware ID information in the drivers to make them recognize the Clevo cards.
The new Dell AMD drivers for the M18x should work well on the M17xR3 based on reports from folks that have installed them. -

Ok yesterday i've installed this package. The driver itself installed fine, CCC didn't. I didn't manage to get it installed for some reason so i reverted back to 11.10.
I didn't experience any wierd behaviour as Intense described, and the package uninstalled just fine.
Stealth i don't know if you can do something to fix the CCC thing -
I think it differance may be because Clevo cards have a Clevo PCB, where as Eurocom makes thier own PCB so there may be some subtle differances. Al least I think all manufactures make there own boards. Thats why some are torquoise, some are purple, some are red and some are green. I have Clevo cards bought direct from Clevo and mine are on green PCB boards.

also here, clevo with green PCB
-
I'm using eurocom cards and they have a green pcb as well
-
the CCC should install fine just make sure you do a clean uninstall of your old drivers (safe mode+CCleaner+driver sweeper) CCC will install fine after along with video driver. -
How do I add my ID to the drivers?
