Hello everyone. This weekend I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my M17xR2 (thanks to all you forum posters for assorted threads containing tips for the install as well as restoring the "alienware" look and feel). I use Windows 7 Home Premium and ran all the updates through SP1 and beyond. My problem is this:

I have set my power settings to dim the screen after 2 minutes of inactivity and to shut the monitor off after 5 minutes. These events occur normally. However after the monitor shuts off it won't seem to turn back on (by moving mouse, hitting keys, etc). This forces me to do a hard shutdown of the system.

Also, my rig has the RGB LED screen.

Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Never had this problem before my reformat this weekend. Thanks in advance for reading this post! :)
