    Ok so my M17x arrived today, I don't really have any games at the moment, seeing as how my last laptop was a Mac, however I'm trying to download the SC2 Beta, and when it gets to the patch part it says that I seem to be behind some type of firewall. I don't have any firewalls set up on my router at home, so I was wondering if there's already some firewalls that Win7 automatically has set up for me for some reason??

    Forgive my ignorance but I really don't know where to start looking for these types of things, it's been quite a while since I have used Windows.

    yes windows has a firewall you can disable it in the control panel but only if you have your own firewall.

    On some games, they require the anti-virus to be disabled as well. You can turn off your internet connection and disable both the firewall and anti-virus while you install the game, and turn everything back on after the game is installed.
