Earlier I was having problems. Just dicking around got Windows working again. Now, my webcam decided to quit working along with my AlienFX. I'm more or less concerned about the AlienFX because my top keys aren't lighting up. I tried reinstalling CC and no luck. After some Googling I found the AlienFX test program. It says that it can't communicate with the FX controller. Any idea what I should do?

There's a ribbon connector that goes from the motherboard to the hinge cover, which is the plastic part that has the touch-sensitive icons you're talking about. Have you had that hinge cover off recently? If your computer can be turned on with the Alien head, then the connector should be properly inserted. In AlienFX, go to 'Theme', then 'New Theme'. It will ask you to save before you can apply it. Pick a name and save it. See if that works.

For your webcam, I believe there is an application called 'WebMate' you need to install. Do, and see if that solves your problem. Since you are on a fresh Windows install, you will need to do this stuff.
