    Hello:

I'm having trouble with graphics drivers for the Nvidia GTX 280M on my M17x (R1). I've tried a few releases (both official drivers from the Dell site and also from the Nvidia site).

Either I get a lot of crashes while gaming, or I get poor playback of movies, at least youtube and Flash movies (flickers green).

    Thanks!

    FYI:
Temps while running at rest: 55-65c
    Temps while running stressed: 65-75c

I seemed to have no problems a few months ago... but can't remember which drivers I was using. Have had to do a couple clean installs for unrelated reasons

Most stable ones i find are 197.16
I always try new ones and go back to the 197.16
They never ever crashed on my pc, temperatures are good.
    Idle 39° and load 65°

Digging up this thread to ask around if anyone is having luck with other drivers than P06. With the new changes to graphics in WoW, temps are going through the roof on my R1 with the fan screaming like it's barely keeping up.

I'm thinking the only reason P06 is stable is because it's NOT using SLI, my left card is burning hot and on the right side it's barely warm on touch. Same thing is happening with Civ5. Everytime I tried a newer driver, both sides are equally warm but unfortunately I get random crashes all around.

Does anyone have a stable configuration with other drivers ? If so please post it.

    Thanks.
