Is scrybe no longer available from synaptics? http://www.uscrybe.com/go/drivers
    The link no longer works.

Also, i remember that someone on this forum had uploaded a software for the touchpad through which we could specify actions for particular gestures.
I am not sure, but i think it was a small self developed software. I can't find that thread. If anyone remembers that thread, please link it here.

I am trying to get the most out of the touchpad and i currently have the synaptics driver on the dell site installed. Do most people here use that one or the driver available on synaptics site? Which one is better?

There are 2 more drivers here http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m17x/694398-windows-8-touchpad-gestures-working.html
One is a hp driver and another is the driver for r4.

So there are a total of 4 different drivers. Which one is best, not from stability point, but from features pov?

in my personal opinion i would go for the hp one as in the guys sig he has a R3 where the R4 driver might not work give all them a go see what one works as you want it as long as you have a USB mouse just in case it doesn't work and you need to uninstall the driver. they all appear to be the same driver but just from different vendors
