Hi! I have an M17x-R2. I use the internal microphone while playing World of Warcraft (we use Ventrilo). I have Ventrilo set up to talk without using a bound key. I just start talking and my voice is transmitted.

How can I "mute" the internal mic, though, when I need to talk without everyone on Ventrilo hearing me? I see that I can hit the FN key plus F3 to mute the sound, but that doesn't mute the mic. I'd like to be able to do this without switching out of WoW and going into the Ventrilo client to disable the mic.

Basically, I'm just looking for a quick way to mute and "un-mute" the microphone by using the FN key or some other key that I may have missed.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure if there is a key for that, but you might want to get a headset with a mic, because those usually have mic mute switches/buttons.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to do that, Shae. I appreciate the comment! Thanks!
