Hi, this might be simple. The heat ex-changers under the fans get clogged up and need cleaning. Remove the battery and the screws holding the lower cover. The panel slides a small amount then lifts off.

You will see the fans held by 3 screws each. Remove the fans (you can leave them connected) and look under them. You will (probably) see a whole bunch of dust bunnies to get out. A can of compressed air is the best thing but with a thin plastic item you should be able to dig the worst out .

    Good luck.

What type of temps are you getting? Maybe run hw monitor to see the max temps of the various components. But yeah, giving it a clean might be a good idea. Maybe also a repaste while you have it open. Plenty of guides available on the internet and youtube.

I've got 10 on my R4. I got it during the free period. No problems at all for me, I just run the upgrade from 7.

The only driver I needed to install was the video and even that was working (with an older NV driver that was MS approved). I simply installed GForce Experience and let it update my NV drivers. I have used every windows version since 2.0 and this was by far the easiest.

The only gotcha I came across was the hidden boot sectors win uses to start. If the install sees a second drive it puts the boot sectors on the second drive. You never even know it until you remove the second drive, to upgrade it for example. The machine will refuse to boot. I managed to fix this using the windows repair process. First time it found errors and corrected but still failed to boot. A second repair run and it finally fixed it.

Best advice I've seen is to remove any drives except the boot one before installing. Put the second drive back in afterwards.

I know many people say clean install but I always like to try upgrades and win 10 was sweet.

With the R4 you have win 10 bios support in the shape of UEFI boot AND secure boot. Never activate secure boot. Research UEFI before setting it, since I just upgraded AFAIK I am not using UEFI. If you have win 8 then it might already be on.

Turn off the telemetry - there is a TON of reporting that win 10 does back to M$.

I gonna do 10 clean install and then insert the second disk

No dust in the computer but to much thermal past and hard as a rock
    So I removed the old

As I recall there is a control center software. Just use your service tag to search the dell driver downloads. You can also get any licensed software that came with the machine from: www.delldownloads.com. By registering your ownership using the service tag on a sticker on the machine you should get access to things like DVD burner software.
