After reinstalling my m17x with a fresh new windows 7, I tried installing the new Command Center and now my AlienFX is dead, no light for the keyboard or the touch key, alienhead...

I have tried to Respawn it but still no light. Is there anyway I can upgrade/downgrade/fix the firmware for AlienFX? and where to download those firmware?

    Thanks a lot everyone!

Does it look like the lights are configurable in the Command Center editor?

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I know what happened. For some reason there is a glitch with the AlienFX setup where if you load an older version of CC than what the computer came with it fries the AlienFX. Tech support directly warned me not to install Control Center from the discs that come with the computers, and to only install it from the website to make sure it is the same version or newer to prevent that. So in summary you most likely installed CC from the disc that came with the computer, the version of CC on the disc was older than what came loaded on it originally and it bonk'd the AlienFX controller. I'd call tech support, if your PC is still under warranty they should replace/fix it.

Yeah, I am can configure the lights but no light is visually displayed :(. It always say "The device you have selected is included in the current theme but the AlienFX cannot detect this device on your system. Do you want to remove this device from the current theme"

So is there anyway to fix this besides having to ask tech support because the worst thing is that I am not living in US/or the countries that have Dell support for Alienware :(

You should call, you should be covered by warranty if you are in the time; also, which kind of warranty you got ?, whatever it be you have to call and they have to repair it if im not wrong as far i know

Thanks for you all replies. I finally found an authorized Dell Support Center in my city and sent my m17x to them. Now have to wait to see if it is gonna be ok :(
